Scammer from careerjet

Scammers are everywhere, looking for potential targets and once you take their bait you'll get caught. So let us all beware. The true scammer was the person who asks you for money, offering you a product, services in exchange for good money. The money they offer is really high, to the point where you will get rail up.

So, here is my personal experience in this scammer.

Feb. 18, 2019, I got a mail saying he is from Marathon Oil Corporation UK, said they received my resume through careerjet. Giving me a questionnaire served as my job interview. I am familiar with careerjet so I respond to their email. As I read the attachment I am kind of shocked because they're offering me to work in their company in the UK, the gave me a list of job vacancies and said I have to choose what job position I would like to apply. I research the company and it is legal, the company is real and is existing. So, I try to answer the interview questions. They want it printed and answer it written, scanned them and send back. I did all of that.

Here is the first email sent to me.

Therefore, we have decided to proceed further with you as one of the Marathon Oil and Gas potential foreign employee, wherein, we hereby attach the job interview form. The benefits and terms will be discussed if the answers you give in the interview form satisfies our requirements. Also attached in this mail is a list of available job positions which will enable you choose the best available vacant position suitable for you.

We instruct you to print out the attached form, fill it accordingly with your personal signature and forward back the duly filled copy of the form via same email. Kindly find the attached form and do the needful immediately to enable us proceed further with your job application.

I just wanted to clarify things, are these works home-based jobs or i will personal go there and work in the office physically. I wanted to ask so that so i can think thoroughly for myself because i only applied remote jobs. Before i can process everything, i wanted to be sure in everything i'll do and say. For the clarification of all. Thank you. I'll appreciate your reply :-)

But they did not reply to my question. So the following days I sent my answers in their so-called interview questions. And they reply almost 3 hours right after I sent it.

I already feel this email weird. Why would their mail go to spam? You'll never get spammed if your email is real or nothing is wrong. So I just set aside that thought. I don't expect them to contact again, but after like almost a month. They email me again.

Now their letter has a contact number. The offer is very tempting. But there was still a hole. The Immigration Healthcare Surcharge. Right after I received this I feel something is off. Like what, that was all? no interviews, like skype or phone call?so weird. So I did my research. And I found this site    CLICK HERE I have read the same letter and same contact person to reach when you signed the contract given to you. A total scam.

this letter carefully before signing it, so as to know if you agree to the terms and

conditions stated in it.

You have been offered the position of a/an Administrative Assistant at Marathon Oil

 Your employment date will commence on 10th June 2019.

 We have agreed to pay you the sum of 2,850 GBP Tax Free as your monthly salary.

• TRAFFORD BUSINESS LOAN: All Employees are eligible to apply starter’s amount

will be 10,000.00 GBP to 20,000.00 GBP annually.

LEAVE PERIOD

• Employees are entitled to (2) times leave in a year, the duration of the leave

is one month each. Employee will receive 2,850.00 GBP plus salary take home for each

leave period.

FEEDING & ACCOMODATION

• Employee is expected to reside at Marathon Oil Corporation Housing Estate for a

period of one (1) year, whereby the company management would be responsible to take

care of the employee’s accommodation and the only fees which would be required to pay

is a REGISTRATION FEE. There are three (3) packages which we have available here at

Marathon Oil Corporation, Housing Estate which the employee can choose from. Below are

the package plans and the registration.

Executive King Room (Family, Not More Than six(6) Persons)

Double Superior King (Family, Not more than three(3) Persons)

Deluxe King Room (For Single Person)

• Employee is entitled to take meals three times a day free of charge at the

general staff canteens. Dietary option, customized cooks and dieticians, desert,

appetizers are also available upon employee request, special order for vegetarians are

also available.

MEDICAL/HEALTH

• Employer will provide the employee with comprehensive health care for the term

of contract and follow-on care for injuries suffered during the term of contract for

employee and family.

• Employee shall be entitled to comprehensive health care services, which are to

be administered by medical experts on job locations.

• In a case of emergency situation, an Employee will be flown to his home country

or any country suitable for the best medical attention with health allowances. This

decision can be influenced by the findings of Marathon Oil Corporation medical

experts, unless the Employee in question states otherwise.

NOTE: THIS INFORMATION IS FOR EU AND NON-EU Citizen

 As a NON EU Citizen, you would require a Visa, Flight Ticket and a Residence

Work Permit, so as for you to enter and be eligible to work here in United

Kingdom. Marathon Oil Corporation management will be responsible for the

payment of your UK Visa, Resident Work Permit and Flight Ticket. The only fee

you might be required to pay (as a non-EU citizen) during the processing of

your Visa application, is your Immigration Healthcare Surcharge.

 As an EU Citizen, you do not require a Visa and Work Permit to enter and work

in the United Kingdom. Marathon oil Corporation management would be responsible

to pay for your Flight Ticket, but there are other necessary documentations you

They even have this seal in the bottom.

The seal looks like come from a fraternity/brotherhood. And the profile of their contact person https://www.gov.uk/government/people/jon-thompson--3 looks fake. I didn't reply to this email. It' a total scam, blocked them. This thought me a lesson, not to trust all job post even in the legit site. They got my info in there.

Everyone who received this message please disregard or blocked them or you'll get scammed. They said they ask your money and send it thru western union or any express counter. LOL that's not cool for a government transacton.
